According to Marca, Real Madrid goalkeeper Luca Zidane appears set to follow in his father’s footsteps once more by leaving the Champions of Europe for pastures new. The 20-year-old has been a part of the club since the age of 6, but now that his father Zinedine has left his position as manager, it seems like Luca could follow suit. Zidane apparently won’t even be sticking around for pre-season, with the incoming Andriy Lunin being seen as his successor.
Luca will likely make his decision with the help of his father, and while going out on loan is always a possibility, all the youngster seems to care about is wanting to get more playing time – regardless of whether it’s on a permanent deal or not. Luca made his professional debut during Real’s final league game of the season against Villarreal, and he also won a Champions League winners medal following Real’s triumph over Liverpool in Kiev.
