Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has been the subject of interest from Italian giants Inter Milan, Tuttosport has suggested.
The Nerazzurri missed out on both Mario Suarez and Felipe Melo, and will now attempt to lure the Brazilian to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
The 28-year-old is no longer in the first team plans of Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers and he is widely tipped to leave Anfield this summer.
Lucas has another two years left on his current deal, but should be available at a reasonable price this summer.
The experienced midfielder has spent last eight years at Anfield, making 196 Premier League appearances and scoring 1 goal.
Lucas started a total of 16 Premiership games last term, while making another four substitute appearances, but he has now been deemed surplus to requirements.
Inter Milan seem ready to offer him a chance to revive his career, obviously provided they can reach an agreement with the Reds.
