Lucas Moura happy to fight for his place at Parc des Princes

Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura doesn’t seem to be worried by the increased competition for places at Parc des Princes.

The Brazilian was an important member of the team last term, starting 29 Ligue 1 games and scoring 12 goals, but his status has since changed.

With both Kylian Mbappe and Neymar joining, Lucas Moura only made two substitute appearances this term, and many believed he would be looking for a way out.

However, speaking after the goalless draw with Montpellier, the 25-year-old made it clear that he was happy to stay at Parc des Princes.

“Staying here, I knew it was going to be difficult, but it’s a challenge for me. I am part of the group,” Moura told Le Parisien.

“I will work hard to take advantage of the opportunity that will arise.”

Lucas Moura has done pretty well since joining PSG from Sao Paulo in January 2013, producing 46 goals and 47 assists in 224 competitive outings for the Saints.
