Germany’s World Cup Winner Lukas Podolski is on verge of securing a deal for a Chinese side Beijing Guoan, German media outlet Bild report.
Galatasaray boss Levent Nazifoglu revealed that a transfer to Chinese league is in its final stage and the player himself has expressed great desire to see the deal go through.
The 31-year-old forward Lukas Podolski will earn €9 million per season which is a significant improvement on his Galatasaray deal.
Former Koln, Bayern Munich and Arsenal striker is currently recovering from an injury that has been keeping him sidelined since 15 December, but his ankle problem should not stand as an obstacle to his proposed Beijing Guoan move.
The 2016-17 season has been a rather frustrating campaign for the German international who has only played nine Super Lig appearances for Galatasaray thus far, only five of which were starts.
Germany international has still added three goals to his name.
