Spanish daily newspaper Marca has learned that Sevilla officials are working hard on the deal that should see Argentine midfielder Lucho Gonzalez move to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Los Rojiblancos plan to sign the experienced footballer on loan until the end of the season, and they have reportedly found an agreement with the player’s employers.
However, it is now up to Lucho’s agent to sort out the final details of the deal as the Argentine is still owed some money from Al Rayyan.
The 33-year-old is almost certain to leave the Qatari side in the January transfer window, with River Plate and Racing de Avellaneda also showing interest in his services.
However, it would appear as though Gonzalez is keen on moving to Sevilla given that los Rojiblancos are enjoying a very successful season on all fronts.
The highly rated midfielder made a name for himself as FC Porto and also enjoyed a couple of good years at Marseille.
