Brazilian defender Lucio blame Bayern Munich manager Louis van Gaal of being disrespectful in the way he treated the player ahead of his transfer to Inter Milan.

Lucio had only just returned from June Confederations Cup when it became clear that his services were no longer needed at the Bavarian outfit.

“It is normal for a coach to have his own ideas,” Lucio told German sportspaper Kicker.” But this good-bye was disrespectful. I just think that I deserved a little more respect. I hoped that the coach would talk to me before drawing a conclusion.”

The 31-year-old joined Bayern in 2004 and made 144 appearances since. The player also captained the Brazilian squad at the Confederations Cup.
