Paris Saint-Germain could win Ligue 1 if they beat Saint-Etienne and other results go their way, and Luis Enrique is keen to keep their momentum going.
Unbeaten PSG have a 19-point lead over second-place Marseille with eight matches to go, leaving them on the verge of their fourth straight Ligue 1 title.
PSG need to beat Saint-Etienne on Saturday and hope Marseille lose, while Monaco and Nice, the teams in third and fourth, also drop points.
If that scenario plays out, PSG will ensure their 11th league title since 2012-13 and their second straight crown under Luis Enrique.
PSG have not lost any of their 26 games in Ligue 1 2024-25 (W21 D5) and could become just the third side to remain unbeaten in each of their first 27 encounters of a top-flight season, after Nantes in 1994-95 (32) and PSG themselves in 2015-16 (27).
“We’re never champions until it’s mathematically a foregone conclusion. But we’re the best team in Ligue 1,” Luis Enrique told reporters on Friday.
“We’re going to use this moment so that these eight games can be used for more global objectives.”
The Spaniard, who previously led Barcelona to a treble by winning LaLiga, Champions League and Copa del Rey titles in 2015, has an opportunity to repeat the feat this year.
PSG face Dunkerque in the Coupe de France semi-final on Tuesday and have a two-legged Champions League quarter-final against Aston Villa, with the first leg taking place at home on April 9 before travelling to Villa Park for the second on April 15.
