(GSM) – Sevilla will have to do without Luis Fabiano until 2010. The Brazilian striker sustained an ankle injury in the match against Real Valladolid (1-1) and will be at the sidelines for three weeks.
Fabiano is set to miss the matches against Glasgow Rangers, Sporting Gijon and Getafe. Sevilla hopes to have its lethal hitman back on the squad on January 3, when they travel to Atletico Madrid.
There was some positive news about Frederic Kanoute’s health. The Malian striker missed the Valladolid game with an injury but may return in Wednesday’s Champions League game against Glasgow Rangers.
Sevilla face Rangers looking to secure top spot in their group after a decent European campaign.
