Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano have signed a four-year deal with Sao Paulo after the Brazilian club agreed to pay €7.6 million for his services.
The Brazilian club announced the deal on their official website, stating that they had been trying to sign Fabiano for over four months.
Fabiano will immediately leave for Sao Paulo, the club where he spent three years before moving to Europe.
The Brazil international was delighted to return to Sao Paulo.
“Money is not everything in life. Nothing makes me more happy than now when I am about to return to wear the shirt of the team that is closest to my heart.
“I owe everything I have to Sao Paulo and I will make sure that I work hard with this shirt on and I will try to score a lot of goals.”
Fabiano spent five and a half years at Sevilla, scoring 106 goals in the process and winning six trophies, but his career started taking the wrong turn and it was only a matter of time before he left the Rojiblancos.
