Luis Muriel on Juventus radar
La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Juventus are planning a summer assault on Udinese starlet Luis Muriel.
Even with Fernando Llorente arriving in the summer on a free transfer from Athletic Bilbao, the Bianconeri are eager to sign another high-profile attacker.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Old Lady have made Udinese forward Luis Muriel their number one target.
Udinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo wouldn’t normally consider selling a player who has just established himself as a first team regular at Friuli, but he may be willing to negotiate with Juventus due to the excellent relationship established between the two clubs.
Muriel, 21, has made his mark in Serie A last season, when he scored 7 goals in 29 league games while on loan at Lecce.
The Colombia international has since returned to his parent club and went on to score 4 goals in 9 Serie A matches.
With the forward already followed by top European clubs, Juventus will have to delve deep into their pockets if they want to get their man.
Inter keen on Balasz Dzsudzsak
Inter Milan are considering a summer bid for Dynamo Moscow midfielder Balasz Dzsudzsak, according to Izvestia.
In order to comply with the FIFA’s financial fair play rules, the Neroazzurri were forced to change their recruitment strategy and have turned their attention to young and talented players.
After signing Mateo Kovacic, Zdravko Kuzmanovic and Ezequiel Schelotto, they also attempted to lure Balasz Dzsudzsak to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
“Inter, together with Liverpool, wanted to see Balasz in their ranks,” the player’s agent Jozsef Vorosbaranyi explained to Izvestia.
“Italians were ready to sign Dzsudszak, but Dynamo would not let go of their key player.”
Nevertheless, Inter are expected to return for the Hungary international and they are reportedly ready to pay up to €14 million for his services.
Dzsudzsak, 26, has been in scintillating form this season, scoring 4 goals and producing 6 assists in 17 Russian Premier League games.
HSV confirm interest in Xhaka
Hamburger SV coach Thorsten Fink has moved to confirm his interest in Borussia M’gladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka.
Fink did his best to sign the talented midfielder last summer, but he ultimately opted to join Borussia M’gladbach instead.
That proved to be a poor decision for the Switzerland international, given that he has been unable to earn a regular starting berth with die Fohlen.
HSV coach, however, admits he is still hoping to get reunited with Xhaka at some point in future.
“My goal is to train the boy again some day,” the talented coach confessed to Hamburger Morgenpost.
Fink trained Xhaka at Basel before accepting an offer from Hamburger, and there is a chance he will make a move on the 20-year-old at the end of the current season.
Despite the lack of playing action, Xhaka is still held in high regard by top European clubs, with Lazio and Napoli both keen.
