Suarez is out of contract at defending Spanish champions Atletico in the summer transfer window, and the report has claimed that the 35-year-old striker will not extend his current deal at the club. The Uruguay international striker has made 17 starts and eight substitute appearances in La Liga for Atletico so far this season, scoring nine goals and providing two assists in the process.

Atletico are fifth in the La Liga table at the moment with 45 points from 26 matches, level on points with fourth-placed Barcelona, who have played 25 games.
