There was a real sense of excitement when the Brazilian forward Luiz Adriano joined the Serie A club from Shakhtar Donetsk back in 2015.
The Rossoneri paid €8 million for his services in what was regarded as a bargain deal for an exciting Brazilian talent at the time wanted by the host of Europe’s big guns.
Little over a year later and Adriano is lingering on the margins of the Italian high-flyers, facing the exit door in January.
The 29-year-old Brazilian has played only 85 minutes of competitive action this term and Rossoneri are ready to cut him loose when the January window reopens in January.
According to reports from the Italian media outlet Tuttosport however, Milan would be looking to reimburse a part of his transfer fee and would go out looking for at least €3 million for his services, which could ultimately prove to be a stumbling block in a potential deal.
There is no shortage for out of favour Milan forward who is wanted by the likes of Genoa and Russian powerhouse CSKA Moscow.
