Wolfsburg midfielder Luiz Gustavo will be free to leave the club if one of the interested sides match his €25 million release clause, Bild has revealed.
The Brazilian joined the Wolves in an €18 million deal from Bayern Munich in the summer, but he has since remained on the radar of Europe’s top clubs.
And his suitors will be glad to hear that the midfielder has a release clause in his contract worth €25 million.
Even if the Bundesliga side would be sad to see Gustavo leave, they have a plan B in place as they are readying a bid for Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.
Luiz Gustavo is set to take part at next year’s World Cup and provided he can keep his place in the side, there will be quite a few clubs willing to match his release clause after the competition.
Wolfsburg have enjoyed one of their best starts to a league campaign and can be backed at 4/1 to achieve a top 4 finish.
