Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport is reporting that Juventus are hot on the trail of Wolfsburg midfielder Luiz Gustavo.
It is no secret that the Bianconeri are in the market for a holding midfielder and they are still looking at Blaise Matuidi, Axel Witsel and Nemanja Matic.
But, considering that they are not close to wrapping up the deal for any of said targets, Juventus officials have turned their attention towards Luiz Gustavo.
The good news is that Wolfsburg are ready to do business with the Bianconeri and they have proposed to exchange the Brazilian for Simone Zaza.
But, while Juventus would probably agree to such an arrangement, the player himself would rather remain in Italy, as he has been the subject of interest from AS Roma and AC Milan.
The Bianconeri kick off the new league campaign at home against Fiorentina and they are 8/15 to start with a win.
