Luka Modric shown yellow card for counting the distance between the ball and the wall (VIDEO)

Real Madrid star midfielder Luka Modric received a bizarre booking against Borussia Dortmund.

Los Blancos emerged as comfortable winners in the game against Peter Bosz’s side. What we saw was three goals from the visitors and one from the hosts, whereas there was another interesting moment in the game as well.

With five minutes left on the clock in the first period of the game, Borussia Dortmund were rewarded a free kick in a fine position to threaten Keylor Navas. The referee seemed to have placed the wall a bit longer than usual and Luka Modric took it to himself to check the distance.

The referee did not take it too lightly and booked the Real Madrid midfielder much to everyone’s surprise.
