According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku has rejected a move back to Chelsea.
For many years Lukaku was on the edge of the starting XI at Stamford Bridge without really being able to consistently break into the first team, largely because there wasn’t a great deal of trust put in him. Then, after going to Everton and Manchester United, he was able to firmly establish himself as one of the most exciting strikers in the Premier League.
That eventually wound up taking him down the path of a move to Inter Milan in Serie A where he has enjoyed great success – as well as one of his first major trophies.
A return to English football will always be on the table for Lukaku but right now, he seems pretty content with where he’s at with Inter, and who can really blame him?
