According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Romelu Lukaku has reached an agreement to return to Inter Milan.
The news comes less than a year after he initially went back to Chelsea with Lukaku, who has only scored 15 goals this season, reportedly taking a pay cut in order to leave English football once again.
Lukaku’s lawyers had held a meeting with Inter over his proposed comeback which may initially be on loan, with an option to sign him permanently coming later down the road.
Lukaku has had some controversial moments over the last year and that much is obvious, but instead of dragging out his Chelsea stay, he seems to believe the better option is to head back somewhere he knows he’s going to be respected and appreciated.
Inter are willing to put big money behind him and in turn, they’ll hope he can guide them back to the top of Italian football.
