According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has made the decision to leave the club and sign for Inter Milan. The report suggests that personal terms have now been agreed with the Italian side, meaning that the only step remaining is arranging the transfer fee. The Red Devils aren’t going to let him go without a fight, however, as they are said to be demanding a fee of around €80 million. That may seem a little bit steep to some, mainly due to the fact that the Belgian has struggled to get much of a foothold in the first team during his last few months with the club. He’s still a naturally talented goalscorer with a great deal of ability, but the momentum from his initial move has been progressively wearing off for quite some time now.
Can he succeed in Italy? Only time will tell.
