Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski has all but suggested that he plans to leave the Emirates at the earliest opportunity.
The Germany international has another two years left on his deal with the Gunners, but it appears he is growing increasingly frustrated by the lack of playing time.
Podolski has so far resisted temptation to complain about his status at the club, but he now admits that he is likely to leave in search of first team football.
“I am a full blooded player, a street player and I love competition,” the experienced forward told RTL television.
“If I don’t have this competition every weekend then a change must occur.”
Despite showing a great deal of potential in his first two years at the Emirates, the 29-year-old never managed to convince Arsene Wenger that he should be a regular starter.
Podolski went on to score 19 goals in 55 Premier League fixtures, but having made mere two substitute appearances in the league this season, it is hardly surprising that he wants out.
After hammering Galatasaray in the Champions League, the Gunners face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, where they are 17/4 to emerge victorious.
