Luke Moore completes MLS switch

Chivas USA have completed a deal to sign English striker Luke Moore, the MLS side announced on their official website.

The 28-year-old joins the club on a free transfer having earlier cancelled his contract with Turkish club Elazigspor.

Details of the transfer were not disclosed and the striker will be eligible to play for the club subject to receiving his International Transfer Certificate.

Luke Moore came through the youth ranks at Aston Villa and went on to make 87 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring 14 goals, while also enjoying loan spells with Wycombe and West Brom before moving to the Hawthorns in the summer of 2008.

The striker spent two and a half years at the club ahead of the switch to Swansea, where he managed just 10 goals in 55 league outings.

Following a somewhat disappointing spell in Turkish Super Lig, Moore embarks on a new challenge in his career with Chivas USA.
