Lukoki joins Cambuur on loan

Eredivisie champions Ajax have loaned winger Jody Lukoki to newly-promoted Cambuur.

Lukoki, 20, made 22 appearances for Ajax last term as they secured their third consecutive Dutch crown

However, the loan signing of Bojan Krkic from Barcelona has seen him fall further down the pecking order at the Amsterdam Arena, with the likes of Viktor Fischer and Kolbeinn Sigthorsson competing for first-team places in the attack.

Lukoki will now look to build on last season’s progress with Cambuur, as they try and retain their top-flight status after winning last season’s Eerste Divisie by just one point.

Manager Dwight Lodeweges has recruited heavily in the close-season, with Lukoki becoming his 12th acquisition of the transfer window.

Lukoki scored three goals in the previous campaign, and will be looking to improve on that tally with Cambuur, who start life in the Eredivisie against NAC Breda on Sunday.
