Luton Town 11/10 to beat Huddersfield in Saturday’s Championship contest

Competition: Championship

Market: Luton Town win

Odds: 11/10 @ Bet 365

Finally appearing to find their feet in the Championship, Luton will welcome a managerless Huddersfield to Kenilworth Road on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, booking their spot in the third round of this year’s EFL Cup with a dominant 3-0 win away at Cardiff in midweek, the mood in Luton’s camp should be on a high. Desperate to secure their second-tier status for a second season, the Hatters also impressed in their 3-1 win away at Barnsley last weekend and boss Graeme Jones should be confident of his side making it three in three on Saturday. One man to watch this weekend will be last year’s League One Golden Boot winner, James Collins. The 28-year-old already has two goals to his name and should be relishing Huddersfield’s arrival on Saturday.

As for the visitors, while Luton might be a team on the rise, Huddersfield still find themselves in the midst of a real struggle. Coming off the back of lackluster display in their 2-0 defeat at home to Reading last weekend, the Terriers are still searching for a permanent boss to replace the recently sacked Jan Siewert. One of just two sides still in search of a first victory since dropping back down to the Championship over the summer, many around the John Smith’s Stadium fear that their side could be at the heart of a relegation scrap once again this year.
