Borussia M’gladbach striker Luuk de Jong has agreed a switch to PSV Eindhoven, reports Bild.
The striker missed the Friday’s training session as he travelled to Netherlands to complete a move to Phillips Stadium that will see die Fohlen earn €5.5 million plus another 20% of the future sale.
De Jong will undergo a medical before signing a long-term deal with the Eredivisie giants, with the transfer set to be announced later today.
The 23-year-old will be hoping to kick-start his career in his native country following disappointing spells with Borussia M’gladbach and Newcastle.
De Jong had left Twente for the Bundesliga side in the summer of 2012, but he could only manage 6 goals in 36 league outings for the club.
The forward was loaned to Newcastle in January, but he could not rediscover his scoring form, having failed to register a single goal in 12 Premier League matches.
