Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad understands that Dutch striker Luuk de Jong could be leaving Borussia M’Gladbach in the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old has largely struggled since joining the club from Twente, and he has failed to make a single Bundesliga start this season.
As a result, he is considering his options, with the forward’s agent set to discuss his client’s future at a meeting with club chiefs.
“It seems clear to be that Luuk is not happy. But that does not mean he is leaving,” agent Louis Laros was quoted as saying by Algemeen Dagblad.
“Then (at the meeting) we will look at what is best for Luuk and Gladbach.”
According to Algemeen Dagblad, PSV Eindhoven are the favourites for the player’s signature, but they are not the only suitors at the moment.
Luuk de Jong started his career at De Graafschap, but his talent was quickly spotted by Twente, with the striker joining the Tukkers in the summer of 2009.
He then went on to make 77 Eredivisie appearances for the club, scoring a total of 39 goals in the process.
