Lyon agree deal for Marcal

French giants Lyon are set to complete a deal for Brazilian full-back Fernando Marcal De Oliveira, according to Radio Monte Carlo.

Les Gones were impressed with the left-back’s performances during a loan spell with Guingamp and they wasted no time once the season came to an end.

Radio Monte Carlo claims they have now agreed a €6 million deal with Benfica, with the transfer set to be finalised later today.

Subject to passing a medical, the 28-year-old will sign a four-year contract with the Parc OL outfit.

Fernando Marcal spent the majority of his career in Portugal, joining Benfica after a successful stint with Nacional.

However, he is now set to leave the Eagles without playing for the club, spending last two seasons on loan spells with Gaziantepspor and Guingamp.
