Lyon agree deal for Rose

L’Equipe has learned that Lyon are set to announce the capture of French defender Lindsay Rose from Valenciennes.

The 22-year-old was widely tipped to leave VAFC when they were relegated to the second division, with Lyon and Bordeaux emerging as early favourites for his signature.

And les Gones seem to have won the battle as they have agreed a €1.8 million fee with Valenciennes after their initial offer of €1.5 million had been rejected.

Rose is expected to sign a four-year deal at Stade Gerland after undergoing a medical on Monday morning.

The France Under-21 international is widely regarded as one of the most talented defenders in the country and he has made a total of 93 league appearances while representing Laval and Valenciennes.

Rose is now set to embark on a new challenge in his career and no doubt he will have a good chance to continue his development at Stade Gerland.
