French giants Lyon have submitted an official proposal for Valenciennes defender Lindsay Rose, L’Equipe has learned.
Les Gones have been impressed by the talented centre-back last season and they decided to step up their interest once VAFC were relegated to the second division.
According to L’Equipe, Lyon have offered €1.5 million for the player’s services, but the same source has suggested Valenciennes are holding out for more.
Ligue 1 rivals Montpellier are also showing interest in the player who has represented France at various youth levels.
Lindsay Rose came through Rennes’ famous youth school, but left the club for Laval in 2008.
Several very good seasons in the second division proved enough to attract interest from Valenciennes, joining the club in January 2013.
Rose, 22, has since featured in 24 Ligue 1 matches, but he now looks set to leave VAFC for greener pastures and continue his development in the top flight.
