Lyon challenge Inter Milan for Yann Karamoh

French giants Lyon have been showing interest in Caen winger Yann Karamoh, France Football can reveal.

Having shown a great deal of potential in his maiden Ligue 1 campaign and also entered the final year of contract, 19-year-old has been the subject of admiring glances from abroad.

Karamoh even managed to agree personal terms with Inter Milan, but their €6 million proposal was rejected, as Caen hope few more clubs will join the chase in the final days of the summer transfer window.

Lyon now seem ready to make their move as they aim to further reinforce their front line, while the Nerazzurri are expected to return with an improved offer.

Meanwhile, the player himself has no reason for concern as he will be able to negotiate a Bosman deal from 1st January if everything else fails.
