Lyon chief reveals transfer targets

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has discussed club’s summer transfer targets in an interview with French newspaper Le Progres.

Les Gones could see several high-profile players leave this summer and they are working hard on finding proper replacements.

Ederson has already left the club, whereas Hugo Lloris, Aly Cissokho and Michel Bastos are expected to follow.

The club president now reveals that they are on the verge of completing a loan deal for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Clement Chantome.

“He is an excellent player. The loan is possible because I have excellent relations with PSG,” Aulas told Le Progres.

The controversial president admits they are interested in Dijon midfielder Benjamin Corgnet and a number of Brazilian players.

“We have been following Benjamin Corgnet for two years, I am hopeful. Finally, Bernard Lacombe has not gone to Brazil for nothing.

”He watched matches, players and wrote down the names of some defenders.”

Having finished last league campaign in 4th place in the standings, Lyon missed out on Champions League qualification, although they will be playing Europa League football this term.

The squad appear to be in for a major overhaul, with only several high-profile players expected to stay at Gerland.
