Lyon coach Hubert Fournier has refused to deny reports linking midfielder Yoann Gourcuff with a summer exit.
The former France international has less than a year left on his deal at Stade Gerland and despite raising his form of late, he might not be offered a new contract.
Gourcuff has utterly failed to prove his worth since arriving in a mega money deal from Bordeaux, but he remains one of the highest-paid players at the club.
Speaking ahead of the Ligue 1 clash against Nice, Lyon coach Hubert Fournier has suggested that a summer exit might be on the cards.
“We’ll see at the end of the season, it (the matter) is not important at the moment,” Fournier said at a press conference.
After missing the start of the season through injury, Gourcuff has slowly been returning to form and he has so far made seven league appearances this term.
The 28-year-old had a major role to play in back to back wins over Montpellier and Marseille, scoring a total of three goals in those two matches.
