Lyon could lower Depay’s price

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Lyon are willing to lower Memphis Depay’s fee to €5 million in order to sell him to Barcelona.

This is a proposed deal that has been on the table for quite some time now and while it does seem inevitable that it’s going to happen, the contract has to be right. Depay has made a big money move before when he went over to Manchester United, and we’ve all seen how that one worked out.

The next step in this equation truly is anyone’s guess bit for now, Lyon have to consider their financial options. They will want to get as much as they possibly can out of Barca based on the money the Spanish giants possess, but at the same time, they’ll want to do right by Depay who has easily been one of their most influential stars over the course of the last few years.
