French giants Lyon are reportedly eager to cash in on midfielder Clement Grenier at the earliest possibility, France Football has suggested.
Not so long ago, the 25-year-old was one of club’s most prized possessions, but his status has changed a great deal over the last couple of years.
The talented footballer has struggled for form ever since he returned from a difficult injury and les Gones have made it clear he is available for sale.
However, despite the fact that his current deal is due to expire in June 2018, there has been very little interest in Grenier’s services ahead of the January transfer window.
Italian side Udinese are the only club that have enquired about the former France international, which is definitely a cause for concern.
Namely, with Grenier earning €155,000 gross per month, Lyon are desperate to find him a new club as soon as possible and they are hoping the likes of AS Roma, Fiorentina and Nice will rekindle their interest in the central midfielder.
