Lyon, Ederson: It was a real team game

Lyon’s goalscoring hero Ederson paid tribute to his team-mates as the seven-time champions reclaimed top spot in Ligue 1 with a much-needed 2-0 home win over Sochaux.

Ederson said: “You have to congratulate the whole team, we played a real team game. We had to look to get in behind them because our opponents came here to defend in numbers. In that case you have to stretch them and that’s exactly what we tried to do”.

“I got a knock on the ankle during the first half but I carried on. In the second half I couldn’t accelerate anymore so I came off.”
