La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Lyon are considering a summer move on Udinese defender Thomas Heurtaux.
The French giants could see Samuel Umtiti leave for greener pastures at the end of the season and they see the Zebrette centre-back as a good long-term replacement.
With Heurtaux tied to Udinese until June 2017, it is believed that Udinese are holding out for some €10 milion.
The likes of Inter Milan, AS Roma and Lazio all attempted to sign the 26-year-old last summer, but they had their offers rejected.
Thomas Heurtaux began his career with Caen, making 97 league appearances before moving to Udinese in the summer of 2012.
The Frenchman quickly proved his worth in Italy’s top flight, and it remains to be seen whether he will be interested in returning to Ligue 1.
After winning two of their last three league fixtures, Udinese can be backed at 3/2 to defeat Sampdoria later today.
