Ligue 1 outfit Lyon have told Nabil Fekir to make a decision on his future and decide whether he wants to stay or leave by the turn of the year.
The 25-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with a move away from the French side with both Liverpool and Chelsea expressing an interest in his services.
Parenthetically, the player himself stalled on signing a new contract with his club and now Lyon wisdh to clarify the situation. Fekir only has 18 more months in his contract with Lyon and has been told to make a decision.
With negotiations over a contract extension sitting dead in the water at the moment, French news outlet L’Equipe claims Lyon would be open to selling their prized asset in January and thus avoid any risk of losing him on a free deal in 2020 or – worse yet – having to deal with an unhappy player for two more years.
In addition to Chelsea and Liverpool, Bayern Munich are also said to be looking at Lyon superstar.
