Lyon are considering a move for Bordeaux striker Guillaume Hoarau, Le Progres has suggested.
Les Gones need replacements for Bafetimbi Gomis and Jimmy Briand, who are both widely tipped to leave this summer.
However, considering the poor financial situation, Lyon do not have a lot of money to spend on new players.
That is probably the main reason why les Gones are being linked with a move for Guillaume Hoarau, who is set to become a free agent after Bordeaux opted against extending his contract.
The 30-year-old joined les Girondins on a short-term deal in January following an unsuccessful spell in China, and he went on to score 3 goals in 16 Ligue 1 outings.
Hoarau, who had scored 38 league goals in 114 matches for Paris Saint-Germain before moving to China, has failed to do enough to earn a long-term contract at Stade Chaban-Delmas, but a switch to Stade Gerland would not be a bad career move for the striker.
