French newspaper L’Equipe has suggested that Lyon could make a summer bid for Sochaux full-back Sebastien Corchia.
After losing his patience with veteran defender Anthony Reveillere, Lyon boss Remi Garde has used midfielder Guieda Fofana at right-back over the last couple of months.
However, he is eager to sign a natural right-sided defender in the summer with les Gones believed to have made Sochaux’s Sebastien Corchia their number one target.
The problem is the likes of Juventus, Bayern Munich and Arsenal are also hot on the trail of the 23-year-old, meaning the Stade Gerland outfit might have to turn their attention elsewhere.
Le Havre hotshot Benjamin Mendy is also being closely monitored as he is a much cheaper alternative to Corchia.
The 18-year-old, who already has 56 Ligue 2 appearances to his name, has a contract until June 2014 and no doubt he would be interested in joining the French giants.
