French giants Lyon are not giving up on signing Malaga midfielder Sergi Darder, L’Equipe has moved to reveal.
Les Gones aim to recruit another central midfielder before the summer transfer window closes, and the La Liga star is the first name on their hit-list.
The 21-year-old has a contract until June 2018 at La Rosaleda and while Malaga are ready to listen to offers for his services, they are holding out for €12 million.
This appears to be more than Lyon are willing to pay, but les Gones still hope they can reach an agreement with the La Liga side.
In case they fail to lure Sergi Darder to Stade Gerland, the Ligue 1 giants will turn their attention towards Lucas Lima and Morgan Sanson.
Lyon will be eager to make amends for the home loss to Reims when they face Caen on the road, with away win paying 5/4.
