L’Equipe has learned that Lyon are in the market for a new left-sided defender and there are currently three players on their hit-list.
Les Gones are set to cash in on Maciej Rybus, who has failed to impress since arriving from Rubin Kazan and is likely to return to Russian Premier League.
The first name on their wish list is Havre full-back Ferland Mendy, who did really well in his first season as a first team regular, producing 2 goals and 5 assists in 35 Ligue 2 appearances.
PSV Eindhoven star Jetro Willems is also on Lyon radar, and the good news is that both of these players have just over a year left on their respective deals.
Les Gones are also keen on Nancy youngster Faitout Maouassa, the player who bagged 3 goals and produced as many assists in 14 appearances during his first ever Ligue 1 campaign.
The 18-year-old is capable of covering any position on the left flank, and he’s got another two years left to run on his contract.
