Ligue 1 giants Lyon have submitted an official proposal for Angers forward Nicolas Pepe, according to France Football.
Les Gones have been keeping close tabs on the 21-year-old for quite some time and they have now decided to step up their interest.
France Football has learned that Lyon have made a €6 million offer for Nicolas Pepe that is currently being considered.
Les Gones thus managed to move front of the queue in the exciting race to sign the talented footballer, with the likes of Everton, AS Roma, Monaco and Lille also keen.
The Ivorian played third division football last season as he was loaned to Orleans, but has since returned to Angers and went on to impress in his maiden Ligue 1 campaign.
Pepe started five league fixtures this season, while making another 13 substitute appearances, and even though he scored just two goals in the process, the winger clearly did enough to secure a big club move.
