French giants Lyon have stepped up their interest in Toulouse hotshot Wissam Ben Yedder, according to L’Equipe.
Les Gones have experienced all sorts of problems up front this season, having registered mere 23 goals in 19 league fixtures and they are desperate to address the issue in the winter transfer window.
L’Equipe has learned that Lyon have made Toulouse striker Wissam Ben Yedder their number one target for the upcoming transfer window.
But, having already splashed out on Mathieu Valbuena, Sergi Darder and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa in the summer, les Gones could struggle to match Toulouse’s asking price, believed to be in the region of €10 million.
As a result, they are ready to send forward Claudio Beauvue in the opposite direction, while covering the difference in valuation in cash.
Wissam Ben Yedder hasn’t exactly impressed this season, scoring just 4 league goals, but having bagged 45 in the previous three Ligue 1 campaigns, it is hardly surprising Lyon are after his signature.
