Lyon, Makoun ready for Lille reunion

Lyon midfielder Jean II Makoun is looking forward to a double-header with former club Lille this week, but declared there would be no room for sentiment with OL chasing a Ligue 1 and French Cup double.

“It’s always a great pleasure to go back there,” said Makoun, who featured in the 2-2 draw between the sides at Gerland in Week 9. “It was great to see everyone in the game earlier this season. I was a little disappointed that the league game will be played at the Stade de France.

“Even if it’s for a different competition, it’s always good to go back to Lille. But I have to be professional and play my game.”
