French giants Lyon and Nice are locked in the battle for Valenciennes midfielder Angelo Fulgini, L’Equipe has suggested.
The 20-year-old is the product of club’s youth academy and he has already amassed 78 Ligue 2 appearances.
This has been the best season yet for the Ivorian-born footballer as he managed 6 goals and 2 assists in 33 league outings.
Fulgini’s fine showings did not go unnoticed as Ligue 1 high-flyers Nice are considering making a summer move.
At the same time, Lyon have been casting admiring glances his way, meaning that a move to the elite division may be on the cards for the youngster.
Considering that Fulgini has a contract until June 2018 with Valenciennes, his current employers want around €3 million for his services.
Capable of operating as a defensive midfielder, right-back or right midfielder, the youngster has so far made over 30 appearances for France youth sides.
