Lyon head coach Remi Garde has confirmed that strikers Bafetimbi Gomis and Jimmy Briand will be sold in the summer transfer window.
Les Gones are not exactly spoilt for choices in attack, but the club officials have, nonetheless, decided to cash in on two wantaway players.
Manager Remi Garde has confirmed that Gomis and Briand will be allowed to leave the club, while also repeating Lisandro Lopez is not for sale.
“The departure will take place,” the talented manager confessed to L’Equipe on Sunday.
Bafetimbi Gomis is widely tipped to move to English Premier League, with Newcastle leading the chase at the moment.
The Magpies have just had an €8 million bid rejected for the 27-year-old, but they are expected to return with a new proposal.
As far as Jimmy Briand is concerned, he is reportedly followed by newly promoted Hull City, with the former Rennes forward likely to be available on the cheap having last played for Lyon back in April.
