Lyon winger Hatem Ben Arfa could be on the way out of current club Olympique Lyonnais, according to French sports magazine, L’Equipe. The tricky winger was previously linked with Manchester United and Arsenal, but now it seems that Olympique Marseille is leading the chase with AS Roma and Villareal providing competition.
According to L’Equipe, Lyon’s president Jean-Michel Aulas would be ready to let Ben Arfa go should the right offer come along and they would have no reservations about selling him to a rival club:
“If l’OM is able to bid as much as other clubs, there will be no problem.” said the Lyon’s president.
L’Equipe mentions that there is also the option of AS Roma for the French international, who are thought to be willing to throw Brazilian winger Mancini in any potential deal for Ben Arfa. And Villareal, who are looking to strengthen their squad to replicate their marvelous Champions League campaign of 2005-2006, is also interested.
