French daily Le Progress has learned that Lyon are set to launch a fresh assault on Lorient attacker Jeremy Aliadiere.
Despite claiming Lisandro Lopez was not for sale, les Gones ultimately decided to cash in on the Argentine, who has signed for Al-Gharafa.
With Bafetimbi Gomis and Jimmy Briand not considered for starting places, Lyon desperately need to sign at least one more high-profile striker if they want to avoid a disappointing season.
As a result, les Gones are set to reignite their interest in Lorient forward Jeremy Aliadiere, who has said in no uncertain terms that he wants out this summer.
The only problem is that while les Merlus are holding out for €7 million, their Ligue 1 rivals are not prepared to offer more than €4 million.
Former Arsenal hotshot Jeremy Aliadiere has finally managed to get his career back on track, scoring 15 goals in 31 Ligue 1 appearances last term.
