French giants Lyon have moved to deny speculation linking star player Nabil Fekir with a January exit.
Having recovered from a difficult injury to score 11 goals in as many league games this season, the 24-year-old is back to being one of Europe’s hottest commodities.
The likes of Barcelona, Juventus, Real Madrid, Man Utd, Tottenham and Arsenal are all believed to be keen on his services, but it appears Fekir will be staying at Parc OL, at least for the time being.
Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has made it clear that a January sale will not be considered, while suggesting summer exit is also unlikely.
“Nabil Fekir will finish the season here. He likes Lyon, has a contract and is the team captain,” Aulas told SFR Sport.
“It is highly likely that he will be here next season as well, because he is the symbol of our team.”
Nabil Fekir is yet another impressive product of club’s famed youth academy and he has so far scored 34 goals in 97 Ligue 1 matches.
