Lyon sign Pape Diop

Lyon have completed the signing of Spanish midfielder Pape Cheik Diop from Celta Vigo.

Les Gones were in the market for midfielder reinforcements after offloading Maxime Gonalons, and Corentin Tolisso, and they have now added the talented footballer to their ranks.

The deal is believed to be worth €10 million, while it could rise to €14 million depending on the bonuses.

Pape Diop had come through the youth ranks at Celta Vigo and went on to make 22 La Liga appearances, scoring 1 goal in the process.

The Senegalese-born midfielder opted to represent Spain at international level, and he is the member of the country’s Under-19 side.
