Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir has refused to commit his future to the Ligue 1 giants amidst speculation linking him with a summer move to Arsenal.
The Gunners are believed to be among teams looking at the highly rated footballer, which is hardly surprising given the standard of his recent performances.
Fekir has been one of Lyon’s star players this season, helping les Gones climb to the top of the league standings.
And with Arsenal being linked with a €25 million bid for the youngster’s services, the midfielder is clearly aware of the transfer talk.
“If Arsenal offer €25m to Lyon? We’ll see,” Fekir told French media outlet L’Equipe. “I do not want to leave too soon and be on the bench.
”I am a fighter and I like to play, I am not happy when I do not play. It is only my first season at the top level, at Arsenal, with the big players that they have, it would be complicated to play in their place, perhaps. But you never know.”
Nabil Fekir is another exciting prospect to have come out of club’s youth academy in recent years and he has been thoroughly impressive in only his second season in the first team.
The 21-year-old started 21 Ligue 1 matches for Lyon this term, scoring 8 goals and setting up another 6.
