French giants Lyon are not giving up on their pursuit of Manchester United winger Memphis Depay, according to L’Equipe.
Les Gones have already agreed personal terms with the Netherlands international, but they cannot seem to find common ground with the Red Devils.
After their €12m and €15m proposals were rejected, Lyon raised their offer to €17 million, but reports from England claim Man Utd want more.
Even though the Red Devils are prepared to let Depay leave the club in January, they clearly want serious money for the talented footballer and les Gones did themselves no favours when they admitted the 22-year-old was their priority signing.
Despite impressing at PSV Eindhoven and arriving at Old Trafford as one of Europe’s hottest prospects, the Netherlands starlet has utterly failed to prove his worth in England, scoring just 2 goals in 33 Premier League matches for Manchester United.
